Mid March is the start of the 2021 school year. As last year didn’t happen at all for many of our rural students, we are hopeful that this year will be productive. The communities in the Ayacucho district started with virtual classes until mid April when they will start 3 days a week in person class. Fundacion Comunidad’s role is extremely important as we continue our focus on providing nutritional lunches. A hearty and tasty lunch is another reason to make the long trek to class, some students walking two hours one way.

We have the funds to cover the aprox 220 daily lunches through the first part of the school season. We plan to seek further donations to cover food and supplies to make this a significant year for these students.
