The foundation manages six preschools. After starting and turning over the high-school, pre-school most concerned the villages. Early education has made grand improvements in academics and health.
The scholarship program provides funding for post-secondary education. We see students through to graduation. Our hope, they return to their villages with the skills to enable future progress.
Paccha is a typical Andean village of the Ayacucho area. While some of Peru sees progress, the state of Ayacucho is still an area of extreme poverty with many needs the government hasn’t addressed.
We provide a healthy lunch for more than 400 students. Good nutrition among children is progressing. Malnutrition and parents' main concern that children receive school lunch is a problem we address.
The literacy program started in 2009, and currently there are 2,000 books in the villages. Reading competitions are held annually. Kids read to the older generation, which adds excitement to reading.
