Comunidad has remained committed to the students in rural Ayacucho who lost a whole year of class. As we were slowly moving towards stepping out of Peru and hoping to focus on looming issues in this country, the timing for that would have undone so much progress we were able to contribute to over the past two decades, especially in the community of Patawasi. Covid shut done education entirely in this area. We are making up for a lost year with the purchase of 7 used quality desk top computers. Humberto sourced some excellent lightly used equipment in Lima that was recently delivered to Patawasi, and they are thrilled! That would be 62 students, 36 of whom are girls!
