At the end of the year we posted about a family who traveled to Peru with ArtAndes three years ago, and the fact that they had generously set up a fund in Comunidad’s name with the request “to ask that whatever is decided is sustainable or jump starts an initiative that has that capability”.
We were able to focus on the rural and impoverished area of Patawasi. A community that did not appear to be on the governments radar for any education improvements that were desperately needed.
With the unexpected donation, lives have been changed at a critical time for young high -school students. Dignified classrooms, an orderly and accessible library AND flushing toilets, available for all!  We all do better when we all do better.
