An Architecture Tour of St.Paul raises money for Peru

I had the honor of having local Architect Rosemary McMonigal on a 2010 Peru trip. I have been a long time admirier of Rosemary's thoughful design that always seems to embrace the perfect sense of place. This connection allowed me to ask Rosemary to lead an Architecture Tour of Downtown St. Paul, during a Saturday afternoon in September. I was a little fearful of what a pro like that would charge....and if our humble group of 25 could afford her! Rosemary quickly decided to donate the cost of her time, as a fundraiser for Fundacíon Comunidad! Most of the group were past Peru travelers and donors, and it made for a fun group for a great cause! We planned the event to tie into Praire Home Companions street dance, season kick off. This is another example of that Peru bonding that spills over into everyday life. Visit Rosemary's website at mcmonigal.com  Next fall, we hope to do it again.
